Beas kund is an easy trek that starts from Solang valley, close to Manali town. The emerald lake is nourished by the melting glaciers from the tall peaks that encircle it.

Imagine yourself sitting by the side of this emerald green glacial lake, surrounded by waterfalls, glaciers, snow-covered massive mountains, and verdant meadows, to give you a sense of what it's like.

The best part is that all of this can be achieved in a two-day easy hike along the river.

One may also see frozen waterfalls and snow covering the grasslands all the way up to the high mountains, including Hanuman Tibba, Friendship Peak, Shitidhar, and Ladakhi peaks, in the early season.

Beas kund is also said to be the bathing and meditating spot of rishi 'Vyas', who wrote the 'Mahabharata', as per mythology.

The altitude is fairly average and the road connectivity is good, making this an ideal and rewarding trip for beginners.
