Brahma Tal is one of the best winter treks in India which is situated in the laps of Garhwal Himalayas.

Though, viable for trekking around the year, the snow adds on to the alluring beauty of the trail.

One gets to hike through forests of rhododendron and oak, which in season time is a sight for sore eyes and a completely different charm in winters with the trees laden with snow. the trail then opens up to a large grassland where you have to follow the ridge like with patches of pine and oak to an opening where one can witness the grandest of views of the viscinity which are dominated by Mt. Trishul, Mt. Nandaghunti, Ronti saddle, the vast meadows of Bedini and Ali bugyal, blanketed with thick layers of snow.

The views are equally enchanting during the non winter seasons, making this a trek one should try in both the seasons!

Mythology : The folklores about this place say that Lord Brahma himself once meditated near the lake hence it was named after him.
