Chandrakhani pass is another hidden gem in the Kullu valley which can be undertaken by a beginner level hiker. It showcases the historic culture of the kullu valley simultaneously being riddled with the mythologies and strange customs of the mystical 'Malana' village Hiking through the old growth forests of Deodar, oak and Pine on the first day give way the grasslands above the treeline which continue all the way to the mindblowing ridgeline which serves as a platform to view the big mountains such "Deo Tibba, "Indrasan" and the parbati range of mountains. In early season the snow towards the end of the treeline and the way up to the ridge makes it a little challenging for a new trekker but quite adventurous for an experienced one. Enjoy the old stories & folktales, witness the ancient architecture in the villages at the beginning and end of the beautiful trail of Chandrakhani.
