Indrahar Pass, home to the temple of Lord 'Indra,' presents a difficult and steep ascent in the Dhauladars.
The trek through Triund to the base of the mountain is fairly easy, but the rocky climb to the pass from there is rather exciting.
This common Shepherd's trail, additionally functioned as a passageway connecting the valleys of Kangra and Chamba, as towards the other side you can head on towards Kuarsi, in Chamba valley.
Breathtaking sights of the valley beneath and the nearby summits such as 'Moon peak', 'Camel peak', and the 'Matterhorn of Dhauladars' are the primary draw in the entire range, resembling an extensive rock wall of granite scraping the skies.
The ascent is demanding onwards from the last campsite, as there's over 1000 meters of vertical elevation along a path carved into the rugged slopes of the mountain.
The rewards at the summit are truly deserving of the hard work, as one can observe the entire 'Kangra' valley extending to 'Pong Dam', Dharamshala, Triund peak, and Chamba valley, with the breathtaking 'Manimahesh' Peak prominently visible on the horizon.
